Remembering David Krempels 1949–2026
Krempels Brain Injury Center, is a nonprofit organization located in Portsmouth, NH that offers in person and online post-rehab community-based programming to survivors of acquired brain injury.
In partnership with universities and community volunteers, we are able to offer therapeutic programs at low or no cost that engage our members and their families in meaningful and productive experiences, as well as providing ongoing support groups, educational resources, and advocacy to caregivers, medical providers, and the broader community at large.
Our model offers survivors choice and control when participating in ongoing therapeutic opportunities in support of their individual goals, with no attendance requirements, no prescribed end date, and no pressure.

Join us at the 21st Annual Seacoast Half Marathon on October 25th!
Join us on Oct. 25, 2026, for the 2026 Seacoast Half Marathon. The scenic course winds through the historic coastal communities of Portsmouth, Rye, and New Castle, offering stunning views of New Hampshire’s Seacoast. In a race calendar crowded with corporate, for-profit events, the Seacoast Half is the only purely local, purely charitable race of its kind — and has raised nearly $2 million for worthy area nonprofits. Krempels is thrilled to be selected as the beneficiary of the 21st Annual Race.
