Meet our Board Members

Mark Mailloux, President

Mark is the Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at Portsmouth Regional Hospital where he has worked since 1992. He holds a BS in Physical Therapy with Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and an MBA in Healthcare Management. In addition to his board role, he is a member of the Program Evaluation Committee at KBIC. Mark is also the current President of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association where he is passionate about increasing public awareness regarding the benefits of physical therapy as well as advocacy efforts to strengthen patient access to healthcare.

Gary Barr, Vice President

Gary is the New Hampshire Market President for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank. Gary’s banking career spans over 30 years starting as a commercial loan clerk and working various commercial banking roles before being named to the Market President role in 2019. His responsibilities include the leadership and responsibility for all commercial banking in New Hampshire. Prior to his banking career, Gary proudly served for 3 years in the US Army. He graduated from Southern NH University in 1989 where he majored in Economics and Finance. Through his career, Gary has been fortunate to work with various organizations, with some of the most recent being TD’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, Veterans Count, NH Bankers, KBIC and NH Business Community for the Arts. After raising their two boys, Gary and his wife, Pat, are now “empty nesters” living in Portsmouth, NH.

Tiffany Stackpole, Secretary

Tiffany Stackpole is the Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at First Seacoast Bank. Tiffany holds degrees from the University of Maine (BS) and Southern NH University (MS). Tiffany is also a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking and American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management. She oversees philanthropy at the bank which is how she first learned about KBIC and with her own brain injury story, is inspired by the work of the organization. Tiffany has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees and in her free time, enjoys chasing around her niece and nephews, and spending time with family and friends, especially on the ski slopes.

Charles Champagne, Treasurer

Chuck is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network (NRHN). NRHN has four inpatient locations located in Salem, Nashua, Portsmouth and Manchester, NH, over twenty outpatient rehabilitation clinics and a homecare division. Prior to joining NRHN in 2012, Chuck served as the CFO of New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton, MA and CFO of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, MA. When not working Chuck enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends especially on the Maine seacoast.

Mark Bonica

Mark has been a professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at UNH since 2015. He has a PhD in Economics, MBA in organizational behavior, an MS in Finance, and a BA in Philosophy and English Literature. He teaches courses in management, finance, and economics. His research focuses on career development of healthcare leaders, with a special interest in how organizations can help people reach their full potential. Prior to coming to UNH he served as a Medical Service Corps officer in the US Army for 23 years. Outside of work he enjoys photography and kayaking.

Nancy Colbert Puff

Nancy has worked in public service for most of her career, most recently as Deputy City Manager of Portsmouth, and Town Manager of Kittery. She has a keen interest in public policy, leadership, and community development. Originally from Lawrence, MA, she enjoys living in the Seacoast area where she spends her free time playing tennis, cycling, walking along the seashore, and kayaking. She has a personal connection to KBIC’s mission, with a family member who is a TBI survivor.

Susanne Delaney

Susanne is a member of management within the U.S. Department of State, Passport Services. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the 1990’s in Paraguay, and as Race Director for the Portsmouth Criterium bicycle race from 2005-2012 including a Corporate Challenge race which gave 100% of the proceeds to KBIC. Susanne is currently the Chair of She Rides Seacoast, a local organization that empowers and encourages women to bicycle. She is a retired elite cyclist whose career ended in 2010 after 2 TBIs. Susanne feels fortunate to have recovered and continues to be an avid cyclist, including annual participation in KBIC’s King Challenge fundraising event.

Jean-Marie Detcher

Jean-Marie is a Process Excellence Director at Liberty Mutual Insurance focusing on operations excellence and strategic planning. Her background includes experience in multiple industries including aerospace and defense, automotive, and medical devices. As a long time TBI survivor and cycler, Jean-Marie is passionate about participating in the annual KBIC’s Center King Challenge. In her spare time, she is a team leader for a Bike MS team for the National Multiple Sclerosis organization, enjoys exploring the outdoors and photography.

John Gilbert

John has over four decades of experience as an environmental engineering practitioner, business founder and leader, and strategic operations execution consultant to for-profit and non-profit businesses. He currently is the President/CEO of Martineau Electric, Inc. in Dover and President of Synchrony Advisors, LLC in Greenland. In addition to consulting to and serving as an interim executive director in the non-profit sector, John has served as Chair of the Board of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits and the New Hampshire Audubon Society and on the Board of Leadership New Hampshire. He serves on Executive Committee of the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire and as Chair of the New Hampshire Water Council and recently chaired the Governor’s Commission on Water Sustainability. In his free time, John enjoys reading, traveling, genealogy, studying martial arts, and particularly spending time with family and friends.

Lou Ann Griswold

Lou Ann has been an occupational therapist since 1979 and has been teaching occupational therapy at the University of New Hampshire since the late 1980s. She currently is the chair of the Occupational Therapy Department. Lou Ann’s research focuses on promoting the quality of social interaction for people of all ages and circumstances to support their ability to enhance their participation in desired activities. Lou Ann and her husband have an elk farm in Lee, NH. Lou Ann’s hobbies include rug braiding and other embroidery and applique projects.

Barbara Prudhomme White

Barb has been a professor in the College of Health and Human Services at UNH since 1998. She holds degrees in both occupational therapy (BS) and developmental psychology (PhD). Her research and teaching interests include human stress, attentional disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and research methods. Mentoring students is a strong passion. Currently, she is the Executive Director of Undergraduate Programs at UNH. Barb is chair of both the Program Evaluation and Personnel committees. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking and skiing.

Dave Sanford

Dave retired in 2019 after spending 34 years working for one of New England’s largest staffing firms, WinterWyman. During that time he ran their Human Resource practice which specialized in both permanent and contract professional placement and helped grow the company to the largest staffing firm in New England. Over his last five years there he served as Executive VP for Client Relations making sure the company’s extensive client base was supported and happy with their relationship with the firm. Prior to that he worked in a variety of HR positions in New York City and New England including Wang Laboratories, Bank of Boston, and Doubleday Publishing. Dave spent from 2014 to 2020 with the Boston based non-profit Bottom Line where he served on the Massachusetts Board of Directors for two terms. He has lived in Merrimac, Massachusetts for the past 34 years with his wife Chris and they spend their time golfing, traveling, and enjoying quality time with good friends. They have two grown daughters, both nurses successfully working in the Boston area.

Amy Smucker

Amy is the Assistant Head of School for External Affairs at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine where she leads the offices of admission and financial aid, communications and marketing, and advancement. She also serves on the faculty of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s Summer Institute of Independent Schools. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Colby College and a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management with a focus on Leadership from Northeastern University. Amy enjoys camping, golfing, and yoga and lives in Kittery with her husband and their two rescue dogs.

Trudy Van Zee

Trudy has worked with large global firms, entrepreneurial enterprises, and higher education to develop break-through strategic plans and to architect solutions and operating processes. She has a proven track record of transformational leadership, value creation, organizational improvement, and partnership development. Her projects include innovating career services, architecting career and competency models, reinventing alumni, onboarding, and performance management solutions. Trudy began her career at Accenture as an HR Operations Manager and culminated as a Global Talent Management Director. She transitioned from industry to higher education where she served in leadership roles – most recently as the Associate Vice Provost for Career and Professional Success at UNH.

Susan Chase

Susan Chase, CFRE, has 16 years of experience in professional philanthropy. Over the last several years, she has focused on helping nonprofit healthcare systems fulfill their mission at Concord Hospital in Concord New Hampshire and continuing at Mass General Brigham/Wentworth-Douglass in Dover, New Hampshire. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire, her Master of Science in Management from Antioch University, and is a certified Fundraising Executive. Sue lives in Barrington with her husband, two teenagers, two cats and one pampered dog.
