Your support makes all the difference
Post hospital and post-rehab, brain injury survivors and their families are left to find their way in a world that has changed completely.
Just coping is a tremendous challenge medically, logistically, emotionally, socially, financially. KBIC offers a community of love and possibility, grounded in reality.
No one knows better than survivors and their families and friends what’s been lost. KBIC sets its sights on what can be, here forward, and encourages and supports each individual in creating a new sense of purpose and meaning in his or her life.
KBIC is primarily funded by individual support. At KBIC we are committed to providing programs for brain injury survivors, regardless of their ability to pay. Annually, members receive over $250,000 in scholarships to attend. Building new lives is possible only because of the generosity of community members like you! Ways to Give
There are many ways for you to become engaged at KBIC that will foster the growth of our strong programs, and ensure our services to the brain injury community and their families for many years to come.
Give to our Annual Fund
Every year, we raise over $250,000 from individuals that we put to good use. Your unrestricted gift supports our programs and services, and enables us to provide member scholarships for over 95% of our membership.
KBIC’s Stewardship Circle
Be a part of this wonderful group of donors that have made multi-year giving commitments to help shepherd KBIC into the future. These donors know and understand that sustainable financing is imperative for our programs to grow.
Legacy Society
A gift via our Legacy Society helps to ensure programs for brain injury survivors for many years to come. Members of this society have made simple bequests, naming KBIC in their will, trust, or life insurance policies. KBIC can also accept other life income gifts such as charitable trusts and charitable gift annuities.
Corporate support and Sponsorship opportunities
Yearly program funding relies on individual and corporate support. Many corporations and businesses support KBIC through direct and matching gifts. Sponsoring our major events like the King Challenge and the Cisco Brewers Portsmouth 5K, which host anywhere from 100 to 3,000 people, provide corporations the opportunity to reach a host of new people, all while helping brain injury survivors in our community.
